Barbeque Rub

Barbeque Rub

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoon paprika powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder

  • ¾ teaspoon mustard powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Barbeque Marinade

Barbeque Marinade

Ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 ½ cups ketchup

  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 2 teaspoon mustard powder

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Slow-Cooker Brisket

Slow-Cooker Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1.5 – 2 kg beef brisket

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  • Apply any rub / spices

  • Cook in slow cooker for 8 hours (1.5 kg) to 10 hours (2 kg) on low

  • Heat BBQ grill

  • Oil BBQ grill, place beef on the grill and leave until browned, then turn the beef over and brown the other side.

  • Baste the beef generously with sauce of choice and turn, then baste again. Do this repeatedly until there is a nice caramelised glaze on the brisket
